In a unexpected collaboration that challenges traditional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Revealed

According to the official announcement, "A mysterious confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying changes echo through the obscurity." The storyline features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden cult.

The adventure concentrates on "peculiar trials and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Metamorphoses

The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Additional Content

Players who finish the mission will acquire an unique katana in addition to multiple objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

• Titan-inspired costume for Yasuke
• Mikasa outfit for Naoe
• Special weapons
• Survey Corps mount

Newest Free Story Update

This patch also introduces the game's third no-cost story addition, titled "The Enigma." This playful mission partners Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange signature abilities: Naoe introduces a theatrical version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters subduing stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "A Puzzlement" also includes a new environmental puzzle that may ultimately shed light on some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
